About me...

“It’s not JUST what you say…..

           ….it’s how you say it.”

As a health care executive in a career that spanned 35 years, John Warren Hart depended on this credo to help cement his reputation as an effective leader.  These days, it also forms the basis on which he crafts effective narrations for a range of satisfied clients.

John colors his characters with perspective, humanity, and emotion that complement the richness of his storytelling.  He consistently brings an energy and passion to his work that derives from being NYC born and raised.

Is it a soothing conversational voice your project demands?  Or the authoritative cadence of an industry professional?  Or the emotional impact for an inspirational message?  John finds the necessary tools and couples them with his 20-year voice range to deliver a deeply satisfying result.

Voice acting and Narration Experience

John first began to explore his interest in the voice-over (VO) industry in 2000, completing a course in voice acting at the Weist Barron School of Performing on 45th Street in NYC. He continued honing his VO skills through one-on-one training with Glenn Holzer, a nationally known voice actor based in Manhattan.

A series of promotions and job relocations in John’s principal work career interrupted his pursuit of VO work for some twenty two years, until 2021.

In 2022, having the time to revisit his unsatisfied VO passion, he completed additional training through VoiceCoaches, based in Albany, NY, focusing on the areas of audio books and voice-over narrations. By year’s end, John had 10 audiobook narrations to his credit, all selling on Audible, Amazon, and ITunes.

In October 2022, John was selected to provide the recorded voice of former Dean of Harvard Law School Erwin Griswold for the theatrical production of "All Things Equal", a one-woman play on the life of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, which is currently touring the US.

Authors and Rights Holders continued to be impressed with John's talents.  He has recently narrated a four-book series on the most haunted places in the South, two faith-based books, two in-depth works covering politics and the American tax system, a detective thriller set in Georgia, an author's dramatic journey of self-discovery, and an engaging Christmas story for young children.  He also lent his voice talents to the animated film of a graduate student at Pratt Institute in New York City.

“You are totally locked into (the author's) writing.  Wonderful!"
"Incredible! You're so damn talented! Your narration makes me sound like I can write!"
Just hearing John Warren Hart’s voice touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes.  I also believe (other listeners') hearts will be touched in the miraculous way that John touched mine.
John Hart was excellent in the reading of my book. He deserves more than five stars.
